The Top Load Case Packer 16835 is designed and manufactured by Bector Automation RML Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. for Naturella LLC. This fully automated shipper packing solution is engineered to deliver high-speed, accurate, and flexible top-loading operations with consistent reliability.

The process begins at the product infeed assembly, where products arriving from upstream are tilted and placed onto the infeed conveyor using a pneumatic and vacuum-based mechanism. The products are then conveyed to the  Collation platform, a servo-driven assembly that forms the required product matrix based on the selected SKU. The matrix configuration can be easily changed by loading the appropriate recipe through the SCADA/HMI, allowing seamless adaptability to different product formats.

Once the matrix is formed, the coalition platform sends a signal to the robot pick-and-place system. A high-speed robot equipped with a servo-based pick head picks the complete matrix and places it accurately into the open shipper. The pick head configuration dynamically adjusts according to the selected recipe to ensure precise handling of different product arrangements.

Shippers are supplied through a motor-driven shipper magazine, where they are stacked vertically and fed forward under constant pressure to the picture frame. A vacuum-based servo Plucker extracts each shipper and positions it over the shipper flap folding assembly. Here, four pneumatic cylinders fold the two minor flaps and two major flap of the shipper in a controlled sequence.

After flap folding, the shipper is transferred to the bottom taping machine, where a motor-driven side conveyor guides the shipper through a taping head mechanism that seals the bottom. The sealed shipper is then conveyed to the hopper assembly, which accurately positions the shipper using multiple pneumatic cylinders to ensure correct indexing and alignment.

Once positioned, the robot places the product matrix into the shipper. The shipper is then transferred to the top taping assembly, where cylinder mechanisms close the top major and minor flaps and apply tape to complete the sealing process. Sensors are provided to detect shipper presence and monitor tape availability, ensuring uninterrupted operation and quality assurance.
