1. Introduction

The Semi-Automatic Case Packer for Butter Carton is designed and manufactured by Bector Automation RML Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. This Semi automated solution is engineered to deliver high-speed, accurate, and flexible product handling and collation operations with consistent reliability.

The machine receives butter packs from the customer’s end onto the infeed conveyor. From the infeed conveyor, the butter packs are transferred to the collation unit, where they are side-shifted and arranged into a matrix of 5 x 3.

Once the 5 x 3 matrix is completely formed on the collation unit, the arranged butter packs are allowed to move downward onto the stacker unit. On the stacker unit, each completed matrix is stacked one by one until a total of 10 layers is formed.

After the full stack of 10 layers is completed, a signal is given to the pusher assembly. The pusher assembly then pushes the completed stack onto the tilting unit.

At the tilting unit, the operator manually places an empty shipper box with bottom tapping already completed. Once the operator places the empty shipper in position and the placement confirmation is received, the tilting assembly tilts toward the roller conveyor, allowing the stacked butter packs to be transferred into the shipper.

After the product is loaded into the shipper, the filled shipper is transferred onto the roller conveyor and then moved further for the top tapping operation.
