The flap folding assembly folds and closes the minor and major flaps of the carton using pneumatic cylinders.

If the carton flaps are not closed properly, a sensor detects the condition, and the respective carton will be rejected onto Outfeed Conveyor-1.

The tuck-in carton is transferred to the outfeed conveyor. If the carton flaps are not closed properly, the carton will be pushed into the rejection bin by a pneumatic cylinder.

The accepted cartons are then transferred to the carton checkweigher.

12. Outfeed conveyor 3 Operation

The customer will manually form the cartons, fill them with sachets, perform the tuck-in operation, and place the filled cartons onto Outfeed Conveyor-3 from Line-7.

The filled cartons are transferred to the end of Outfeed Conveyor-3. If a carton is already present on Outfeed Conveyor-1, the incoming carton will be stopped by a pneumatic cylinder to maintain traffic management. If no carton is present on Outfeed Conveyor-1, the carton will be transferred to Outfeed Conveyor-1.

Rejected cartons are pushed into the rejection bin by a pneumatic cylinder, while accepted cartons are transferred to the downstream machine conveyor.

The cartons are transferred to the inkjet printing station for printing. The printed cartons are then transferred to the OCR/OCV camera for print inspection.

The OCR/OCV system inspects the printed batch details, manufacturing date, expiry date, print readability, and barcode on the cartons.

Rejected cartons are diverted to the rejection bin through the rejection mechanism, while accepted cartons are transferred to the downstream machine conveyor.
