  • The sachets are placed onto the Infeed Conveyor-1 (Flat Belt) Assembly from the upstream pick-and-place machine

  • The sachets are then transferred towards the Vibrating Conveyor.

2.2 Vibrating Conveyor Assembly

  • The sachets are transferred through the vibrating conveyor.

  • The sachet powder is evenly distributed using the vibrating conveyor, and the evenly distributed sachets are then transferred to the sachet checkweigher.

3.2 Sachet Checkweigher Assembly

  • The sachet checkweigher assembly receives sachets from the vibrating conveyor assembly.

  • The sachets are checked for weight verification.

  • Rejected sachets are pushed into the rejection bin by a pneumatic cylinder.

  • Accepted sachets are transferred to Infeed Conveyor 2 assembly.

4.2 Magazine & Picture Frame Assembly

  • Carton blanks are manually loaded into the magazine assembly.

  • The magazine assembly consists of a picture frame structure that supports the carton blanks.

  • The magazine is equipped with an induction motor to convey the carton blanks. It also includes sensors to provide low-level feedback of carton blanks in the magazine.

5. Plucker Assembly

5.2 Plucker Assembly

  • The plucker assembly picks cartons from the magazine assembly by a pneumatic cylinder.

  • The carton placed on the main drive and guide cylinders is actuated based on RH/LH carton selection on HMI/IPC

6. Main Drive Assembly

  • The carton placed on the main drive by plucker assembly

  • The assembly indexes cartons sequentially through Robot 1, Robot 2, and Robot 3 loading stations and flap-closing stations.

7.2 Infeed Conveyor-2 Assembly

  • The products are received onto the Infeed Conveyor-2 Assembly from the carton checkweigher machine

  • The sachets are transferred through a through the vision system for inspection of sachets.

  • Nonpicked sachets are collected at the end of the conveyor in a collection tray. Incorrectly picked 
    Sachets are collected in separate trays adjacent to each robot. 

8. Vision Inspection Assembly

  • The vision system detects the product orientation and position on the conveyor.

  • The inspection data is shared with the robot for synchronized picking operation.

  • The rejected sachets are placed into rejection bins, which are provided separately adjacent to each robot.

9. Robot Pick & Place Assembly

  • The robot receives product position data from the vision system.

  • The robot picks the products from the infeed conveyor and places them into the carton on the main drive.

10.2 Flap Folding Assembly

  • The flap folding assembly folds and closes the minor and major flaps of the carton using pneumatic cylinders.

  • If the carton flaps are not closed properly, a sensor detects the condition, and the respective carton will be rejected onto Outfeed Conveyor-1.

11.2 Outfeed conveyor 1 Operation

  • The tuck-in carton is transferred to the outfeed conveyor. If the carton flaps are not closed properly, the carton will be pushed into the rejection bin by a pneumatic cylinder.

  • The accepted cartons are then transferred to the carton checkweigher.

12. Outfeed conveyor 3 Operation

  • The customer will manually form the cartons, fill them with sachets, perform the tuck-in operation, and place the filled cartons onto Outfeed Conveyor-3 from Line-7.

  • The filled cartons are transferred to the end of Outfeed Conveyor-3. If a carton is already present on Outfeed Conveyor-1, the incoming carton will be stopped by a pneumatic cylinder to maintain traffic management. If no carton is present on Outfeed Conveyor-1, the carton will be transferred to Outfeed Conveyor-1.

13.2 Carton Checkweigher Machine Assembly

  • The cartons are received from Outfeed Conveyor-1 onto the carton checkweigher machine.

  • The checkweigher verifies the carton weight against the defined acceptance limits.

  • Underweight and overweight cartons are rejected through the pneumatic rejection mechanism.

  • Accepted cartons are transferred to Outfeed Conveyor-2.

14.3 Outfeed Conveyor Assembly 2 Operation

  • The accepted cartons are received from the carton checkweigher machine onto the Outfeed Conveyor-2 assembly.

  • The cartons are transferred through the inkjet printer and OCR/OCV camera assembly.

  • Rejected cartons are pushed into the rejection bin by a pneumatic cylinder, while accepted cartons are transferred to the downstream machine conveyor.

OCR & Camera Inspection Assembly

15.2 OCR/OCV Camera Inspection Assembly

  • The cartons are transferred to the inkjet printing station for printing. The printed cartons are then transferred to the OCR/OCV camera for print inspection.

  • The OCR/OCV system inspects the printed batch details, manufacturing date, expiry date, print readability, and barcode on the cartons.

  • Rejected cartons are diverted to the rejection bin through the rejection mechanism, while accepted cartons are transferred to the downstream machine conveyor.
